The Heritage Foundation has an excellent overview of the Benghazi Libya terrorist attack and response from the Obama administration. The video summary is below, but their website includes a detailed article with timeline.

 Update: Vice President Biden response to criticism during the VP Debate on October11: “Well, we weren’t told they wanted more security there. We did not know they wanted more security again.”   Representative Ryan pointed out that the day before the attack, the State Dept. had received and rejected a request for more security.
