Nonsequitur: A Military View of the Benghazi Attack

Former assistant secretary of defense, Bing West, offers a damning review of the events at our Libyan Embassy under attack:

Our diplomats fought for seven hours without any aid from outside the country. Four Americans died while the Obama national-security team and our military passively watched and listened.

The state department was contacted almost immediately after the attack began. Why wasn’t miliary aid, especially air support, sent immediately after we learned the embassy was under attack?
