Nonsequitur: Medicaid Enrollment Soars, Funding Drops

Under Obamacare, the numbers of Americans eligible for Medicaid increased by over 9 million in the last year.  Also under the healthcare law, funding for Medicaid saw a TEMPORARY increase of funding through 2014.  Now the funding returns to its normal levels, just as Medicaid enrollment peaks at 68.5 million*.  It is estimated that Medicaid payments for primary care services will drop by about 40-50%.  (Read more here.)

*This means more than 1 in 5 Americans is currently covered by Medicaid.  Medicaid is funded jointly with Federal and state tax dollars.
