A potpourri of articles suggesting some actions that we, collectively and individually, can take, do take, should or shouldn’t take to deal with our ongoing domestic and international problems.

Vox notes that “Immigrants start small businesses at twice the rate of the native-born” and discusses why this is significant. The Atlantic’s Inimai M. Chettiar argues that “More Police, Managed More Effectively, Really Can Reduce Crime.” (Chettiar cites a Brennan Center of Justice study which is available here.) Jillian Kay Melchior of the National Review explores “Why Liberals Oppose Over-the-Counter Birth Control” and demonstrates that they shouldn’t. Finally, Politico’s Philip Gordon observes (the obvious) that “The Middle East Is Falling Apart,” but argues that there isn’t much we can do about it.
