Nonsequitur: May Unemployment Numbers

According to the US Bureau of Statistics, things are mostly unchanged. Unemployment ticked up slightly to 5.5%, but only because more job seekers entered the market. 280,000 jobs were created, which is respectable. The employment-population ratio stayed nearly the same at 59.4%. We still have 6.7 million “involuntary part-time workers.”
