Nonsequitur: “Sanctuary Cities” Released Over 5000 Illegal Immigrants with Criminal Records in 2014

A study published by the Center for Immigration Studies shows that in the first 8 months of 2014, 8145 illegal aliens were released by authorities in “sanctuary cities” despite requests from the federal government to hold them. 5132 of those released had a previous criminal conviction or charge. 1867 of these were later arrested again for a criminal offense.
