So far in 2013, we’ve added 935,000 jobs. But more than 75% of these have been part-time.
This is NOT the norm for most post-recession recoveries.
In fact, this trend is largely limited to recent years*, and seems to be accelerating.
* There were large numbers of part-time workers during the mid-1930’s depression, but the current trend is during a recovery period.
